Every Monday there’s a Community Sound Meet-Up!
It’s like a petting zoo if you’ve never played with equipment like ours before and a gym if you have! Please bring whatever and whomever!
Weekly-Meet-up FAQ:
Q: When is it? Do I need to sign up?
A: Every Monday from 7p - 10p ! No, you don’t need to register.
Q: Can I come if I don’t know how to do anything?
A: YES! Club:Club is literally a school! PLEASE come with an open heart and mind. We’ll teach you whatever you’d like to know! Everyone is really nice!
Q: Can I bring my gear from home?
A: Yup! Bring whatever you want, whether it’s because you wanna show it to people, you have questions about it, or you’d simply like to hear it on a larger sound system.
Q: Is this a weekly class? What are we learning?
A: No, this is a meet-up! If you’re looking to take regular, dedicated classes you should head to this page. On occasion small beginner workshops will happen, but this isn’t the norm. Be prepared to wander, explore, and dive into whatever is on the shelf.
Q: Do I have to pay?
A: No! It’d just be really helpful if you did. Ultimately the meet-ups are intended to be a community resource and third space.
Q: Is Club:Club only for DJing?
A: It started out that way, but has evolved into more of a community sound lab. Sure, we DJ, but we also play with synths, guitars, and do experiments. Feel free to bring a tuba or whatever you’d like.
Q: Is it really every Monday??
A: Yes! We may not always remember to post that it’s happening, but we will always post if it’s cancelled. Assume someone is in the building at 7p!
